101 Things To Do: Vacation Adventures in Mountain Country
Great idea #36
Tram—The Jackson Hole Aerial Tram is back! After two years of construction, the sleek, new $31 million red box is up and running. Ascend 4,139 feet above the valley floor into the alpine zone for a walk, or just to gaze into the mountains (pg. 39). Check the Jackson Hole Resort website for schedule and prices.
Chairlifts—Not only do these lifts get you up above it all for an impressive view of the scenery, but they also provide a quick access for hikers and mountain bikers. Both Snow King and Grand Targhee mountain resorts offer rides (pg. 42).
