The ski manufacturers have unveiled their new 2012 product lines, here's a quick preview of a few new powder skis that will be available next year.

K2 has redesigned the original Pontoon and replaced it with the Pon2oon.  The Pon2oon will have less twin tip in the tail and a new progressive sidecut of 159/134/124 at 189cm.

]2012 Salomon Rocker 2

Salomon has released the Rocker 2.  Made from a bamboo core and with shorter edges that end roughly ten centimeters short of the tip and tail, the Rocker 2 is much lighter and has less swing weight than the original model. Could a great touring ski for the really deep days? Sidecut of 144-122-134 at 184cm and 192cm lengths.

black diamond 2012 amp

Black Diamond has replaced the Justice with the Amp.  I'm not sure what changes they've made, maybe only a new graphic.  It's rumored that many of the 2012 BD skis will have a traditional laminate full sidewall construction, rather than the cap design of their previous models. The Amp  sports sidecuts of 141-115-123 at 175cm and 142-115-124 at 185cm.

It's also been rumored that LaSportiva is coming out with a ski line.

Stay tuned, details on 2012 models from Volkl coming soon!
